The Resurrection of Bible Club

by Brody Nicholson -- 10/17/17

This past Tuesday (10/11/17), the P7 Bible Club met for the first time in over a year. The group is studying based off the P7 curriculum. P7, also known as Project 7, is a program where you can bring Christ into schools, and it is mostly for the youth.

What makes this new Bible Club exciting is that it is entirely student-led. This year, the club will be instructed by a senior at AGHS, Kaylee Marton. Kaylee’s main goal is to improve the minds of the younger generation. Four students participated in the first study and they prayed that the group would grow as the word about this new club is spread.

The P7 Bible club will continue to meet every Tuesday after school from two o’clock to three thirty in Mr. Kopas’ room. Come join in the fellowship of the P7 Bible Club!

The Experience of Being Apart of Albert Gallatin High School’s Drama Department
by Liz Skochelak Extracurriculars Section Editor -- 10/17/17

The productions that are put out by our school’s drama department seem like easy work but in fact it is the greatest amounts of blood, sweat, and tears put into every performance by each cast member. No matter how big or how small they are all important. This years fall production is Charlotte's Web. It is a great experience for all of our members but an even better one for our few upcoming freshman for them to really get a grasp of what it is we do to make these productions worthwhile for every audience member.

“The show must go on!” This is a quote we all live by everyday on and off stage. But this quote would be absolutely meaningless without everyone that plays a role in helping all of us cast members strive for greatness every step of the way. From character work, blocking, stage props, costumes, and any other bump in the road there will always be someone right there to help and keep us moving. Believe it or not there are bumps and I mean big bumps along the way to show dates but that is alright because we have the strongest support system and most amazing hands on helpers we as a whole could ever ask for.

Throughout every show a new family bond is formed and every year there is someone that joins who truly needs someone there for them and not expecting it leave with a whole new group of people to always have your back. Yes, we may fight among one another but nevertheless we will always be there when one or all are in need. We are truly the biggest family that has the most fun in being weird together. Crazy is certainly an understatement but not a single one of us for a second would change that for anything else. It is a no judgement zone all are welcome.

We are always looking for new members and please do not ever be shy when there is an announcement about auditions and you think you might enjoy it please come try. Everyone has a special place to be held so come take a spot and join this crazy family...our Drama Department.

A Review of This Year's Fall Production --Charlotte's Web
by Liz Skochelak -- Extracurriculars Editor

This show had all the elements to entertain and to teach. The speakers set up every action with pure excitement to prepare for the amazing performance to come. Wilbur was full of energy from beginning to end, all the families, animals, and smaller part characters were giving their all. Every character on that stage had their own moment to shine and gave a huge part to the audience experience.

From beginning to end the show never once had a boring moment where there wasn’t a laugh. But even where there were laughs there lies a lesson. Everyone learned something new. It is a complete pleasure to be able to be a small part of a young child’s right to learn and form their young minds.

It for me was an honor to be part of this. Several audience members got to see all of us in character at the end and had so many nice things to say. It’s always a great pleasure to hear those things. We want nothing more than to give the audience the want to keep listening, reacting, and enjoying every time they are with us for a show. And as Charlotte would say “ The message is spun. I’ve come to the end. The job that I have done is all for…” Colonial Times!
